Remediation in Malaysia
Inogen Alliance was appointed by ELANTAS Malaysia Sdn Bhd in 2012 to undertake the DEIA study. A Terms of Reference for the study, covering environmental baseline survey, impact prediction and assessment as well as stakeholder engagement, was prepared for purpose of submission to the Department of Environment (DOE). Under the Malaysian environmental law, the proposed facility is considered as a petrochemical plant and as such requiring the prior approval of a Detailed EIA study, instead of a Preliminary EIA.
Inogen Alliance provided the project description, justification and project options site survey, history, initial investigation and land use mapping planning of baseline monitoring programme and initial stakeholder engagement activity. The Associates worked as well on the scoping of predictive environmental modelling and assessment techniques such as Quantitative Risk Assessment, Air Dispersion Modelling and Noise Modelling.
Inogen Alliance Associate’s deliverable were completed to the satisfaction of the Client, in accordance to the format and requirements of the DOE and on time. Inogen Alliance team worked closely with the engineering design team to address the environmental aspects of project design and layout at early stage and had assisted in resolving several key issues proactively.
